GatorVerse Comic Con celebrates cosplayers of all skill levels — come in costume and join the fun!
Whether you're crafting your first costume or bringing years of convention experience, you belong here. Cosplay is welcome for beginners and veterans alike, is family-friendly, and is open to fans of all ages.

The Main Cosplay Stage is the central hub for cosplay activities, showcases, and feature programming throughout the convention.
[Cosplay contest/showcase schedule to be announced]
Cosplay is not consent. Every cosplayer at GatorVerse Comic Con has the right to enjoy the show safely, comfortably, and on their own terms.
Ask before you snap. Always ask a cosplayer's permission before taking their photo — even a "quick" one. A thumbs-up, a nod, or a spoken "yes" all count. If they say no, or don't respond, respect that and move on.
Ask before you touch. Never touch, grab, or handle a cosplayer's costume, props, wings, tails, or accessories without asking first — even if it looks sturdy or "made to be handled." Costumes are often fragile, hot, hard to move in, or expensive to repair.
Personal space matters. Don't block a cosplayer's path, corner them for photos, follow them around the venue, or pressure them into a pose or interaction they seem uncomfortable with.
No means no — the first time. If a cosplayer declines a photo, a hug, or any interaction, one polite decline is enough. Don't ask again, and don't ask "why not."
Costumes are not costumes for judgment. Comments on body type, how a costume "should" fit, or whether someone "looks like" the character are not welcome. Cosplay is for everyone, of every size, shape, gender, and skill level.
Costume accuracy isn't an invitation. A revealing, form-fitting, or "sexy" costume is a costume choice — not consent to comments, photos, or touching. The same respect rules apply no matter what a cosplayer is wearing.
Smart glasses (like Meta Ray-Bans and similar camera-equipped eyewear) can photograph or record video without it being obvious to the person in front of them. At GatorVerse, they're treated exactly like any other camera — not an exception.
See our weapons/props rules below for prop safety requirements.
GatorVerse Comic Con is a family-friendly, community-focused event. This policy exists so every cosplayer — and every attendee — can enjoy the show. Thank you for helping us keep GatorVerse a respectful, welcoming con for everyone.
